This blog was started based on my life changing experience visiting the 45 acres of immense beauty that is Serenity Performing Arts Centre.  When you hear music at this place, it is impossible for it not to affect you.  I think every artist that performs in this nature laden oasis has an experience that they will carry with them.  It is like coming home, and because of this feeling of family and community, the music that is performed here brings out a quality that has become the essence of what is Serenity. Once in awhile I will post a piece from a show I have been at elsewhere, or a feature on a local visual artist I have had the honour of spending time with, but the heart of this site will continue to be my personal writings about the rejuvenating evenings of music and connection at Serenity.  ~ Heather
